tudents will walk through history by reading biographical short stories, full-length biographies and historical fiction. During this walk, they will learn different elements of writing - beginning with five sentence paragraphs and building to multiple paragraph essays. Finally, students will write their own autobiography. Our rubric will build as we go, adding the new elements for each assignment. This course is on TalentLMS that provides students with step-by-step lessons. For feedback and individualized writing helps, students will meet with the instructor / writing coach throughout the course via Zoom and using Google Docs. High School students can earn English and World History credits. Following this course, they may continue with American Adventures and Writing for U.S. History and English credits.
